(25 feb. 1894, Poona, India–31 ene. 1969, Ahmadnagar).

Maestro espiritual indio. Nacido en el seno de una familia zoroástrica de origen persa, creó un sistema de creencias espirituales conforme a las cuales la finalidad de la vida era tomar conciencia de la unicidad de Dios, del que emana la totalidad del Universo. Convencido de que su llamado despertaría al mundo a materializar dicho principio a través del amor, trabajó apasionadamente con aquellos que padecían enfermedades mentales y somáticas. Aunque atrajo a numerosos seguidores en India y otros países, no intentó establecer una religión. En los últimos 44 años de su vida permaneció en completo silencio y se comunicó por medio de gestos y de un tablero alfabético. Su tumba en Meherabad es un lugar de peregrinación.
